As a family business ourself, led by 2nd and 3rd generations, we understand the nuance and complexities that comes with selling a closely held family business. It’s not just dollars and cents, but the years of hard work, labor and love built up over many years. While today we work with a number of different types of business owners – VC backed start ups, Private Equity firms, Family Offices, and publicly traded companies – many of our deals are still family businesses, or partnerships amongst close colleagues, that have never before traded. We pride ourselves in working closely with ownership – and the extended family when necessary – to ensure the optimal outcome for all stakeholders in the business.
